S15 Game 70 – Hurricanes (28) vs Reds (26) F/T

Super Saturday is upon us and the first of five games this morning sees the out of form Hurricanes take on the top Australian team in the Reds in a match that should be interesting enough to get you out of bed on this first day of a three day long weekend.

The Hurricanes are fresh from their tour to South Africa where they at least got a win over the Cheetahs but battled against the Sharks. They have now lost both their All Black centres in Ma’a Nonu and Conrad Smith and are staring down the barrel of another defeat.

The Reds on the other hand will be full of confidence after beating their closest Australian rivals in the Waratahs last weekend. The Reds have lost Digby Ioane to injury and have a newish looking back three that, should the Hurricanes have had more fire power, would have come under some pressure.

I predict a barn storming victory for the Reds by at least 12 points.

Hurricanes: 15. André Taylor, 14. Alapati Leiua, 13. Jayden Hayward, 12. Charlie Ngatai, 11. Hosea Gear, 10. Aaron Cruden, 9. Chris Eaton, 8. Victor Vito, 7. Jack Lam, 6. Faifili Levave, 5. James Broadhurst, 4. Jason Eaton, 3. Neemiah Tialata, 2. Andrew Hore (Captain), 1. John Schwalger

Replacements: 16. Dane Coles, 17. Anthony Perenise, 18. Jeremy Thrush, 19. Mark Reddish, 20. Tyson Keats, 21. Julian Savea, 22. Beauden Barrett

Reds: 15. Ben Lucas, 14. Luke Morahan, 13. Anthony Faingaa, 12. Mike Harris, 11. Dom Shipperley, 10. Quade Cooper, 9. Will Genia, 8. Scott Higginbotham, 7. Beau Robinson, 6. Radike Samo, 5. James Horwill (Captain), 4. Rob Simmons, 3. Guy Shepherdson, 2. Saia Faingaa, 1. Greg Holmes

Replacements: 16. James Hanson, 17. Albert Anae, 18. Adam Wallace-Harrison, 19. Leroy Houston, 20. Liam Gill, 21. Ian Prior, 22. Will Chambers
