Prinsloo gets the call

Sharks coach John Plumtree has made the call to drop Stefan Terblanche to the bench for this weekend’s game against the Leopards at the Royal Bafokeng stadium in Rustenburg, and U21 fullback sensation Gouws Prinsloo has cracked the nod to start his first game at fullback.

Stefan Terblanche, should he take to the field during the match, will earn his 100th Currie Cup cap for the Sharks, in a stellar career filled with hard work and determination.

The other changes to the team sees the return of French maestro Frederic Michalak to the flyhalf berth, with Meyer Bosman taking over the 12 jersey from Marius Joubert, who drops to the bench. Adi Jacobs will be relishing another start in the 13 jersey, and outside the likes of Michalak and Bosman, should get a fair bit of front foot ball.

Conrad Hoffmann comes in for Charl McLeod while Ross Cronje gets another chance to shine off the bench.

Amongst the forwards, the Jean Deysel experiment continues at lock, teaming up with Ross Skeate in the second row. We can expect much the same in the form of replacements with a full second row on the bench, with Bresler and Marais sure to make an impact off the bench n the second half.

Monde Hadebe will be hoping to get off the bench in this match as he was unused last weekend, and add to his Currie Cup experience. Wiehahn Herbst rounds off the reserves bench.
