Sharks arrive on the Twitter scene

The Sharks have launched an official Twitter account and promise to keep fans updated with all the latest and greatest info direct from Mr Price Kings Park.

I think it’s fair to say that the chaps at Sharks HQ have been somewhat sceptical of social media over the last few years; the comment feature on the official website was shut down some years back over legal concerns and in the vacuum created by the Union’s absence from platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, numerous imposters seized the initiative.

As such, there are a fair few completely unofficial and unsanctioned Twitter and Facebook feeds claiming to represent the Sharks when, in fact, they have nothing at all to do with the union. Just as a side note, it’s pretty important to note that Sharksworld is not one of these and will always go above and beyond to correct any impression that we officially represent the Sharks, or are sanctioned or endorsed by the Union in any way; while we love the team to bits, we’re completely independent of them and will always say what needs to be said!

It’s good to see that the Sharks are now prepared to enter the scene once more and seem to be putting a lot of effort into their social media presence – as one would expect from the leading rugby brand in the country.

We’d like to urge all fans to follow the official Twitter feed, which can be found here and to become a fan of the official Facebook page, which is here. In combination with the information that we provide here, that should pretty much cover your needs when it comes to what’s going on with our beloved team in black and white!
