Boland coach Eugene Eloff has named his side to face the Sharks in a warm-up game at Kings Park this evening. Captain Franzel September leads relatively inexperienced lineup and will hoping that nobody will need to wake him up when the game ends (with apologies to Green Day).

Former Lions prop Ross Geldenhuys finds himself in the number 3 jersey for Boland after being cut loose by the GLRU, while journeyman second rower Nolan Clarke, who played some Vodacom Cup rugby for the Sharks a few years back before turning out for both Griquas and the Kings, will be one of the locks. Eighthman Junior Bester is back with Boland after playing for the Pumas last year and will join September and the awesomely-named Thor Halvorsen in the back row.

Ricardo Croy and Neil Papier will operate amongst the halfbacks, with Bolla Conradie and Elgar Watts both unavailable due to Stormers committments.

Boland Cavaliers: 15 Jonathan Francke, 14 Senan van der Merwe, 13 Jacquin Jansen, 12 Siviwe Magaba, 11 Brendon April, 10 Ricardo Croy, 9 Neil Papier, 8 Junior Bester, 7 Thor Halvorsen, 6 Franzel September (captain), 5 Nolan Clark, 4 Jerry Sefoko, 3 Ross Geldenhuys, 2 Chris Buckle, 1 Charl du Plessis.
Replacements – from: Martin Nel, BJ Julies, Jaco du Toit, PJ van Zyl, Juwell Samuels, Jeremy Plaatjies, Cola Williams, Milroy Isaacs, Adam Barlow, Peet Vorster, Adriaan Klaasen.
