SA Barbarians coach Jimmy Stonehouse has named his match 22′s for the two midweek tour games against England early next month. Stonehouse, who coaches the Pumas, has leant heavily on players he’s worked with before in Witbank to make up the bulk of the Northern side, while Boland and the EP Kings dominate the Southern selection.

Kings centre Wayne Stevens will lead the Southern side, with a smattering of Sevens Boks, including big loose forward Vleis Engelbrecht, in the mix. Boland’s Elgar Watts will be at flyhalf, with the Pumas’ Corne Fourie called up from the Northern ranks due to a lack of loosehead prop options in the region.

Pumas centre JW Jonker leads the Northern selection, with former Bulls winger Danwel Demas perhaps the most familiar name on the team sheet. Also look out for former Sharks junior Luvo “MB” Lusaseni, picked from the Leopards ranks to play flank. Replacement prop Zane Killian is the sole representative from the Valke, with a smattering of Griffons players also making the grade.
