The Bulls have released information on the status of their players, with some bad news for some players who are forced to miss the start of the Super Rugby season.

According to the Facebook release, Bulls lock Wilhelm Steenkamp has been ruled out for between four and six weeks, after picking up a shoulder injury, which is expected to be an AC tear.

A number of players are currently injured, but should be in the selection fold come the first match of the season, with Zane Kirchner, Dewald Potgieter and Werner Kruger all spending time in the swimming pool instead of the training field, with back injuries and spasms.

Dean Greyling is another who might miss the start of the season, having picked up a stress fracture to his foot, ruling him out for up to four weeks.

Good news is that Arno Botha will be back in full training next week following his groin operation, while last season’s injuries to Chiliboy Ralepelle and Jacques Potgieter have healed and both are taking part in full training.
