Steyn heading to Paris

It’s been confirmed that Bulls and Bok flyhalf Morne Steyn will play for Stade Francais in Paris on conclusion of this year’s Super Rugby tournament.

The Blue Bulls themselves have confirmed that it is indeed Stade Francais that will benefit from Steyn’s services, after an earlier story linking him to another Paris club, Racing Metro 92, proved spurious. Another Bull, in lock Juandre Kruger, will be joining Racing though, which is the same club that Sharks centre Frans Steyn called home for three seasons.

Further exacerbating the talent drain from the Bulls – at least at Currie Cup level – is the news that flank Jacques Potgieter will apparently play in Japan during the Currie Cup season, before returning to Pretoria for Super Rugby duty. Potgieter has recently extended his Super Rugby contract with the Bulls until 2015.
