No Horwill for Reds

Reds skipper James Horwill has been ruled out of Friday’s clash with the Sharks in Brisbane, after failing to recover form a jaw injury sustained against the Force in round 12 of Super Rugby.

Will Genia takes over the captain’s armband for this match, although Horwill is expected to be fit to lead the team on their tour of South Africa, starting next week. Ed O’Donoghue comes in at lock for Horwill, while a front row switch sees James Slipper start at tighthead, with centurion Greg Holmes moving across to the other side of the scrum.

A reshuffled three-quarter line features a new centre pairing this week, with Anthony Faingaa playing at 12 and Chris Feauai-Sautia picked outside him. Rod Davies comes in for injured Don Shipperly at right wing in the final change to the side.
