Elton Jantjies seems set to take his place in the Lions team when they face the Kings for Super Rugby participation in 2014. reports that Jantjies is currently on loan with the Stormers, but with the Cape based side unlikely to make the play-offs, the flyhalf could turn out for the Lions when they face the Kings. The first match takes place July 26, while the first round of the play-offs is the weekend before.

Jantjies is on loan to the Stormers for the entire Super Rugby campaign, and should they make he play-offs, Jantjies would be contractually bound to stay in the Cape and compete with the Stormers. Should the Stormers not take part in the play-offs this year, Jantjies would join the Lions for the two all important matches.

Jantjies is set to continue with the Lions for the Currie Cup season as well, but his future beyond the end of the season is uncertain. The Stormers have made it clear that they would like to make Jantjies a permanent players, along with Lions compatriot Jaco Taute.
