Well 2013 was a great a rugby year. My grand children will hear of my tales about how I witnessed probably the greatest All Blacks side of all time. Fans mourn when teams kick too much especially Blue bulls rugby ;but the All Blacks are up there among the most kicking metres accumulated. However it’s how the All Blacks went about it. The ruthless manner of their counter attacks got fans to appreciate their all round game.

I expect the Boks to put one over the mighty All Blacks next year. Fair enough they are in their own league but the progress the Boks made will certainly continue into next year.

Bismarck has been the best hooker in the world for the last 3 years and one of the game’s best. I would love to see him have a proper rugby season, Super 15 right through the international season. A feat like this would surely push his chances of an IRB player of the year award which he would easily attain. One which he deserves atleast once in his career.

Sharks won the Currie Cup. Perfect way to end the year after alot of sour notes. Poor Super Rugby, Junior sides still not firing (u19 and u21) and the loss of our own kiwi… Plum.

But…. The Sharks have Jake. They already calling him the “Great White”. Can they end the quest to win Super Rugby? He believes so. His past accomplishments have brought such an expectation upon the fans as well. He definitely has the squad and coaching skills. Is it meant to be? Fairy tale ending?

Last but not least SBW is back. Well probably the most talented dual-code player of all time. He will definitely bring something special to Rugby Union again including drama. Chief backline will feature Williams, Fruean and Mils. To name a few names. Adventurous backline.

Looking forward personally to the return of Anton Bresler to the park. We missed the bruiser in the 2013 season. I fancy his combination with Pieter Steph du Toit.

The possible Watson call up was a surprise hey? Can he add anything to the Sharks squad?

BLK did a stellar job on the jersey. Definitely rivals some of the best Super Rugby will offer. Hope the rugby will too.

This is the first part of my 2014- wish list and wonders…
