Saders lose McCaw again

The first major Kiwi casualty of the June international series has been confirmed, with All Black skipper Richie McCaw suffering a broken rib in his side’s second test win over England.

The Crusaders have announced that the veteran flanker will be out of action for up to four weeks, meaning he will miss all of their closing round-robin games and possibly their first knock-out match as well. The Crusaders travel to Wellington to face the Hurricanes this weekend in the first of three crunch derbies, all of which must be won to cement a home semi-final berth.

Meanwhile, the Japanese curse has struck the Canterbury side too, with another flanker, George Whitelock, confirming a move to the Panasonic White Knights on conclusion of the 2014 Super Rugby season.
