Pumas lose valuable coach

It seems the lure of the Yen is not limited to the players as Pumas coach Jimmy Stonehouse announced his resignation from the Union to take up a coaching role in Japan.

Stonehouse, who has been at the helm of the Pumas during some of their most successful seasons in recent times, allegedly confirmed mere days ago that he will be staying at the Union, only to change his mind and accept a role with the Toshiba Brave Lupus.

During his time with the Pumas, they won the Currie Cup First Division in 2013, gaining promotion to the main Currie Cup league in 2014, where they won four games and managed to finish sixth overall out of 8 teams.
