Injured Boks in training

News from within the Bok camp seems to suggest that every member of the 31 man squad announced last week, took part in the field training session yesterday. This should be the norm, but is rather good news considering how many players were hampered with niggles.

All of Jean de Villiers, Duane Vermeulen, Fourie du Preez, Jannie du Plessis and Francois Louw took part in training yesterday. The team will leave camp at the end of today and re-gather on Sunday for final preparations before boarding to England.

The Springboks play their first pool game in just over two weeks, and even though the opposition is lying a lowly 14th in the World Rankings, Heyneke Meyer would surely want to give as many of his first choice starting line-up game time.

The only player to miss out on the training this week was Eben Etzebeth, who picked up a calf strain. Scans revealed a Grade 1 strain, but the medical team is confident that he will be available for selection against Japan.
