Reinach returns behind unchanged Sharks pack

Gary Gold has made just two injury-enforced backline changes to his team after last week’s laboured win over the EP Kings in Port Elizabeth. Bok scrumhalf Cobus Reinach will start in the number 9 jersey against the Pumas at Kings Park on Saturday.

Injury has removed both Michael Claassens and Odwa Ndungane from the selection frame this week; in the former case Reinach’s return from Springbok duty is timely and he slots straight in, with Stefan Ungerer again on the bench. Wandile Mjekevu, who has turned in some rather uninspiring play at centre this season, start ats right wing for Ndungane, who is out withe a rib injury.

Thomas du Toit is again on the bench, with Dale Chadwick and Gerhard Engelbrecht backed to deliver an improved scrumming performance this week. The bench is largely untouched, bar the inclusion of Heimar Williams in the number 21 jersey.

Sharks: 15 Joe Pietersen, 14 Wandile Mjekevu, 13 Paul Jordaan, 12 Andre Esterhuizen, 11 S’bura Sithole, 10 Lionel Cronje, 9 Cobus Reinach, 8 Philip van der Walt, 7 Daniel du Preez, 6 Francois Kleinhans, 5 Marco Wentzel (captain), 4 Etienne Oosthuizen, 3 Gerhard Engelbrecht, 2 Monde Hadebe, 1 Dale Chadwick.
Replacements: 16 Kyle Cooper, 17 Thomas du Toit, 18 JC Astle, 19 Jean-Luc du Preez, 20 Stefan Ungerer, 21 Heimar Williams, 22 Garth April
